Funding can only be claimed the term after your child’s third birthday. The terms begin on 1^st January, 1^st April and 1^st September. For example, if your child’s birthday is on 3^rd April, then they can start the funding from the September.

The hours funded by the government are not intended to cover snacks and meals, other consumables and other extras like access to our online journal and short trips out, which is why we make a daily charge.

15 hours funding is available for all 3 and 4 year olds, 30 hours funding is available for some 3 and 4 year olds, 15 hours funding may be available for some children the term after their 2^nd birthday or the term after they turn 9 months old, check the childcare choices website to see if you qualify.

If you receive the 30 hours funding, you must confirm your details every 3 months or the funding will be withdrawn.
